About Poseidon
God of the sea, storms and earthquakes, whose moods sailors feared and tried to calm with offerings.
A famous story
Brother of Zeus, Poseidon ruled the oceans from a palace beneath the waves and could shake the earth with a strike of his three-pronged trident. He was said to have created the horse, and his rivalry with Athena over Athens made him a proud and stormy figure.
