About Quetzalcoatl
The feathered-serpent god of wind, wisdom and life, a creator who gave humankind knowledge and maize.
A famous story
Quetzalcoatl was said to have helped create humanity by journeying to the underworld to retrieve the bones of earlier people, sprinkling them with his own blood to give them life. Gentle compared to other Aztec gods, he was linked to learning, the priesthood and the morning star.
